Set in a lovely old two-story home on a quiet tree-lined street, its two wood-paneled bars brim with hospitality, and its two dining rooms, an intimate non-smoking room with bare stone walls and a larger room designed like an indoor gazebo serve first-rate meals. The bars offer a buffet from 5pm-7pm weekdays and the kitchen's seafood specialties, such as Mahi-mahi topped with Lump Crab meat are both creative and flavorful.

TI try not to bash businesses but I was just treated so rudely at Mt. Washington Tavern that I will never return. The food was good, our waitress was nice. What killed the evening? Being rudely dismissed by the General Manager after our group had spent about $200. I appreciate that he had told us he would need the table at 7pm. We were enjoying our food and drinks and had not been watching the clock. Had he simply come over at 6:30pm with a polite reminder the situation could have been resolved. With the exception of the wonderful server, Eva, the staff at the Mount Washington Tavern is atrocious. The hosts are rude, the staff is inconsiderate, the bar tenders have nothing better to do than to roll their eyes at you... it's awful. If it wasn't for convenience, I would never go back. If the staff was really that well-skilled that they can judge a patron and get away with awful service, I would suggest that they work at a restaurant of higher quality... or not be in the service industry at all.
