In an ideal world, every neighborhood would have a tavern like this. Set in a lovely old two-story home on a quiet tree-lined street, its two wood-paneled bars brim with hospitality, and its two dining rooms, an intimate non-smoking room with bare stone walls and a larger room designed like an indoor gazebo serve first-rate meals. The bars offer a buffet from 5pm-7pm weekdays and the kitchen's seafood specialties, such as Mahi-mahi topped with Lump Crab meat are both creative and flavorful.

EXTREMELY POOR!!! If I could give a negative 10 stars even that would be too high of a rating for the service, or should I say LACK OF SERVICE tonight. After a very long wait (more than the 40 minutes the manager claimed), the servers did not know who should receive what and the food was cold (in one case not even cooked). The service was not good and the food was Luke warm after waiting over an hr. To get it.

Brunch took a very long time on a not busy sunday. No real explanation of why. I can't see coming back. 40 mins for eggs and pancakes when the place was maybe 25% full is not worth it..

I am sorry to admit but it has been some time since I have patronized the Tavern. After today I am going to make it much sooner. I was working in the nearby area when we needed a much deserved lunch break. My co-worker wanted to go somewhere different and he suggested the Tavern. I loved this place for brunch and gave it a great review in the past. It was one of my favorite places to go with friends. Today I took some friends and was so disappointed. Place was empty and still took over an hour for food. Half the food came and non of it hot then a good amount of time for the rest so people shared food to eat together. Food was terrible, things we had in the past that we loved. The menu changed so ends up to be more expensive. All together, no longer on my list of "great place to go with friends".
