Pearl Maddox started Mrs. Maddox Cake Shop in 1928. Her son, Jack Still, took over the bakery in Detroit, along with his wife, Marian, and daughters, Susan, Marian and Sharon. In 1973, he hired Tim Shaberly as a dishwasher and to take deliveries. Tim continued to work as a baker for Sue and Marian when they took over the bakery. The employees were extremely helpful and patient, while I tried to figure out exactly what I wanted. With only 4 days notice, I ordered a large cross shaped cake for my son's First Communion. Not only was the cake absolutely beautiful and delicious, but it was cheaper than another place I had called. I will definitely be back!!!!! Thank you.
They made my son's 3rd birthday cake and it was great. It looked amazing and tasted awesome. I was so pleasantly surprised when I opened the box and saw it. Totally going here again.
