Pearl Maddox started Mrs. Maddox Cake Shop in 1928. Her son, Jack Still, took over the bakery in Detroit, along with his wife, Marian, and daughters, Susan, Marian and Sharon. In 1973, he hired Tim Shaberly as a dishwasher and to take deliveries. Tim continued to work as a baker for Sue and Marian when they took over the bakery. I found Mrs. Maddox Cakes over a year ago and I have personally ordered over a half dozen cakes, in many different styles...every single one has been AMAZING! We have refer many people and they have had equally amazing cakes! We had my daughters 10th Birthday this weekend on 3 different nights, at 3 different restaurants & at every place we had staff and patrons ask where we got our cake...and they didn't even get to taste the freshness & yumminess of the cakes! Thank you so much for your amazing talent!!'
