Went there yesterday for the first time, wish I would have had more time, but I really enjoyed what I did have a chance to see. Took the guided tour of the house and it was great. The grounds and surrounding area were beautiful.
I have been waiting since 1992 when my husband retired from the Army and we moved here. FINALLY on Mothers Day i had the great pleasure and enjoyment of spending 5 1/2 hours here. My husband and i did The Behind The Scenes Tour. I really enjoyed the group of people we toured with and cant give enough praise to our guard Stu. He was very knowledgeable and very likeable. Thank you all that work there, every single person did a outstanding job in their part to make my Mothers Day very memorable. Thank You.
Our tour guide, Horace Ballard, was amazing! He kept the group interested and knew SO much about this time in history! Thank you, Horace, for making this a memorable trip for my family!

It was only raining, not storming, & our students were cheated by missing out on this portion of the tour.
Very fun and educational! Don McCracken was our tour guide and knocked it out the park!!! Highly recommend a tour to Monticello!!!
Yesterday was my third visit but it was my finance first. I learn something new with every visit. He enjoyed himself so much we are still talking about it a day later. It is one of our favorite memories.
Excellent experience at Monticello. This was my second trip. We were able to spend more time in the museum which was very interesting if you are interested in history, architecture, and Jefferson's various inventions. We strolled around the grounds, through the gardens and down to the cemetery. The guided tour was very informative and interesting. Our guide encouraged us to ask questions of which there were several very good ones. He was also very accommodating to those with special needs. We did not have opportunity to do t... read more
