The Behind the Scenes tour is worth the extra cost!
A must see if you're in the area!! Beautiful, breathtaking, and educational. The history nerd in me was very happy!!
This was my second visit to Monticello. The vastness and beauty of the plantation and Jefferson's insight and planning were so evident in everything he did. There is so much history and learning about this man, who was pure genious, and all the stories of all the people who lived there! One day is really not enough time to take in everything about Monticello. My only disappointment was that Michie Tavern was just closing when we went to eat. Monticello was as wonderful as I remember. It's a beautiful place and our family friendly tour was outstanding! If you have kids under 12, I would definitely consider it over the regular tour..everyone learned by listening and touching. The extra kid activities were fun too!
The estate was beautiful and our tour guide Horace, was incredible! He was very knowledgeable about the era, not just the Jefferson estate. The gift shop had some neat goodies as well. I'm definitely going back!
We really enjoyed stepping back into time and learning about our 3rd president Thomas Jefferson. Monticello is beautiful and the artifacts really brng history to life. Also a least walk down the mountain instead of taking the shuttle.
The experience of a lifetime... Amazing, inspirational, unforgettable, just absolutely, undeniably the best trip I have been on in a while.
Beautiful grounds and the tour guides were very knowledgeable and staff very helpful! A must see.
AMAZING MAN, and his home and plantation, which are steeped in History and many innovations Thomas Jefferson brought from Europe, are AMAZING!! MUST SEE the behind the scenes tour- worth every dollar, and then some!
