Love the new format of self-guided tours, and the extended hours. It was perfect for my six year old. All the staff was amazing from beginning to end and we will definitely be back!
A great piece of American history with well informed guides, beautiful scenery & really cool overall experience from the Renaissance President himself. I have waited a long time to visit Monticello & it did not disappoint.

We went there with a large student group. I throughly enjoyed the guided tour. They were very engaged with our students and we had a great time as a group,
Great day with the family. My toddler wasn't happy he couldn't touch anything though.
The tickets are pretty pricey ($25.00/ per person/per floor). I don't know if it was because it's Memorial Day weekend, but the 1floor tour was rushed, packed and certainly not worth $50.00 for my husband and me. We were there apx 10 minutes because they continued to allow the next group of 26 people into the entrance and there physically not enough room to explore or ask any questions.
Our guide was very pleasant and knowledgeable. The grounds are beautiful and the views are breathtaking! So glad we visited!

We had the incredible opportunity to visit Monticello twice in the last two weeks. We had nothing but wonderful things to say about the staff and the facilities. We took the behind the scenes tour and the basic tour which were both highly informative and entertaining. Jefferson's eye for detail was innovative and practical. It was surreal at times to be in the home of the most brilliant mind in American history. I highly recommend taking quite a bit of time to wander the property at your own leisure.
