Loved the house tour most. Will be coming back to see upper floors!
We did the Behind the Scenes tour and enjoyed it. Our guide was awesome. This was our second visit to Monticello. It never disappoints.
It was beautiful up there on the mountain! We walk up from the visitors center was steep, but not super difficult. The tour of the house was interesting.
I haven't been in a long time..i have medical condition that required a walker. . very handicapped friendly! ! Staff is great
Beautiful grounds and so much history! Disappointed could not get a tour of the house. We got there at noon and the next available tour was 5:30. Recommend buying tickets on line. Also the cafeteria was closed by 3 and ran out of sandwiches.
This was my fifth trip to the mountaintop, and every trip is more impressive and inspriring than the last. One warning to visitors is that you need to read the fine print on your online tickets. We took the "Hamilton Takeover Tour" on March 31 at 5:45. Our teenagers, age 13 and 15 truly loved the tour! The docents were super excited telling us about the relationship between Jefferson and Hamilton. We had a wonderful family join us for the tour--their daughters were amazing at Jefferson history! My husband and I had a ball watching all these young people so into history! Thanks, everyone!
The tour guides were extremely helpful and knowledgeable! I highly recommend the Slavery at Monticello tour for an honest and fascinating take on the subject. Can't wait to visit again!
Beautiful place to visit. I could of easily spent hours there looking at the grounds, house, and museum at the visiting center. Will definitely be back to visit!
