My husband, myself and two children ages 8 and 12 took the house tour and then the slavery tour. We learned so much that we would have otherwise not known. We had a wonderful time!
It was so worth paying for the extras. Our tour guide was amazing and full of information on every tour we took. Loved it!

Well worth the trip. Beautiful scenic views. Having the visitor center somewhat apart from the house (accessible by shuttle bus or walk) keeps the house pristine. Very interesting house tour too.
If you can satisfy your desire to learn in a single visit, I think you're extraordinary. I want to do it again.
