Twenty years ago, this European-style restaurant was filled with the warehouse workers from the area. Today, The Monte is still packed, but the clientèle has more white collars than blue. The copper bar is 50 feet long; it is worth the visit just to see it. The menu is big on American fare, with burgers, salads and deli-style sandwiches. I have been to the Monte Carlo many, many times before. Have moved from Minneapolis and haven't had as many opportunities to go there as often as before. My wife and I enjoyed the food, which was excellent as always. The Monte is in the middle of a neighborhood in resurgence and growth. It is a wonderful blend, of old-line quality and the excitement of the future,.
Monte Carlo was great. The atmosphere is excellent, the service is awesome and the food is great... so yeah, I liked it!
