Twenty years ago, this European-style restaurant was filled with the warehouse workers from the area. Today, The Monte is still packed, but the clientèle has more white collars than blue. The copper bar is 50 feet long; it is worth the visit just to see it. The menu is big on American fare, with burgers, salads and deli-style sandwiches. Great food and fantastic cocktails! Went with my Second daughter and future son in law. Also called to get Recipe for a martini that my husband had and enjoyed. The bartender gave it to me gladly. What more could you ask for? Also had a wonderful wait staff.
