Twenty years ago, this European-style restaurant was filled with the warehouse workers from the area. Today, The Monte is still packed, but the clientèle has more white collars than blue. The copper bar is 50 feet long; it is worth the visit just to see it. The menu is big on American fare, with burgers, salads and deli-style sandwiches. Love this place!!! Been a frequent patron of this neighborhood bar & restaurant for more than 20 years!!!! And I plan to continue to be there another 20 plus more years!!!
The food drinks and service are exceptional. We have made it a family and friend favorite place. And.....yes, the Bejing chicken wings are greaseless and delicious!
