I received the best of care at McDowell Hospital after getting a serious infection ( E. Coli) after surgery at an other hospital. From the ER staff to the doctors, nurses, and every one else. Thank you.
I can only speak to the quality of care I received in the birthing center, but I highly recommend giving birth at McDowell! I am so thankful for my amazing nurses (particularly Heather, Robin, & Katie) and Alison Christopher! These ladies are phenomenal! �
Worst hospital ever!!! You are judged as soon as you walk in the sliding doors! Was in a bad car wreck and they treated me horribly! Motrin and Tylenol for a head on collision lol not all of us are pill heads! Some are actually really hurt! And when the X-ray tech tells you they THINK they got what they need makes me concerned!? I tried to tell them my pullover had metal on it but they said oh it should be ok to not take it off! You will die in this place! My poor mom was treated like crap by y’all before she passed! This place acts as if all you want is a pain pill. The doctor walked in and had the nerve to ask her "What do you want me to do?". First off I would like for you to do your JOB!!
Well many times ppl from McDowell cty choose go outside of the county to have their baby..My daughter Krystal Clark decided to stay at Mcdowell the 2nd time 12/27/17 ..the Lord blessed her with a nurse named Norma bo th times..she is exceptional and top notch i want to say thank you i was there and appreciate your patience and superb nursing skills..for those who go elsewhere think twice and those use hosp you will be well taken care of..McDowell OB GYN your drs are incredible.
My husband was almost in TEARS last night from Sciatica, and his prescribed pain meds was not doing the trick. The staff was HORRIBLE!!! They treated him like a pest that was looking for pain medication. The doctor, CNA and nurse gathered around him giving him dirty looks and we we're in and out in 10 mins! "Just increased your Gabapentin and take this NSAID and you'll be fine. See your surgeon on the 11th." That was it!! Very rude!!!
