After leaving this ER with my 10 month old temp of 102 AFTER Tylenol & NO diagnosis other than "we're gonna give him zofran & Tylenol". No I DO NOT recommend this hospital. I know how busy nurses/doctors are, I have worked in the ER. But when I come to the ER with my child who is screaming in pain, fever, congestion & vomiting just to have 2 RN's try to "get him to stop screaming" by giving me a bottle nipple dipped in sugar water & suggesting I make him a bottle (that he wouldn't drink) & just to get a Dr to look at his ear... read more
McDowell mission hospital is probably the very best place to go to have a baby. The staff here has been absolutely phenomenal!! They are very helpful and have made this a great experience. They let you rest and often go above and beyond what their job requires in order to make you feel comfortable with a smile on their face. People fear coming here because it's small but I'm telling you that you really do get the best quality care here.
I love everyone who helped me when I was getting ready to have my twins, I had a great team! And I’ve always had a great experience with this hospital. The cafeteria food is so yummy! And a lot of people are very nice and full of smiles.. I just miss the gift shop that’s my only con..
At the hospital tonight and me and My 30 week pregnant fiance was put in "psychiatric exam room 9", for starters which honestly made me feel like a jail cell. Second I look towards the ceiling because something catches my eye while watching TV, and I notice a camera. I camera that's on the inside of the curtain that blocks the entrance to the door way. Which then made me and her extremely uncomfortable seeing as she was having issues with her back/abdominal area and they might have needed her to remove articles of clothing. ... read more
We travel from Morganton to visit the urgent care. On one of my trips my problems demanded that they bring me to the ER. Follow up care is phenomenal. On my last visit the PA Jason called me back the next day to check on me and give me further instructions. The urgent care and ER PAs are all extremely sharp and they are very thorough.
My dad has been there for 3 weeks now, they have went above and beyond there duty to meet the needs of my dad and mom as well. I use to have those thoughts about oh gosh it's McDowell but now my thoughts have changed completely, if I ever need to go to hospital McDOWELL is ok with me!! Thank you to ALL the nurses that have helped take care of my dad, you all are awesome
