I had to be hospitalized on an emergency basis because of sudden onset of bradycardia that was diagnosed as being caused by a change in medication from metaprolol to atenalol. The negative effect of the change was immediate upon change. While in the hospital it was determined that I needed a pacemaker and additional medication, Eliquis, for an afib condition. The Day Activity Center (DAC) is a wonderful program for patients that need to develop and practice social skills.The mental health patients that frequent this activity benefit tremendously. The main issue is that since the director (Mike) retired the position has not been filled and the program is running badly. Please hire a permanent director again so he/she can plan and execute activities with the patients. The benefits are enormous!!!
I've never had a problem with the VA Healthcare System, it offers excellent care and is staffed mostly by happy, caring individuals. And I love the pharmacy hours. But I have had a major problem trying to park between 10am and 2pm, it's so bad tempers get out of hand sometimes. Vertical is the way to go. BTW, I'm not getting any type of payment for this review nor do I work for the VA.
