VAMC Miami has refused me temporary lodging (Hoptel) benefits even though I have had an appointment the following day, and do not live within 50 miles/two hour drive of Miami. I am non-service connected/non-retired military who resides outside the U.S., and feel this denial is discriminatory and has no legal basis within Title 38 USC 1708 and Title 38 CFR Part 60, which govern VA healthcare.
