I wish someone would train the staff on the concept of customer service. Every time I have to come here I absolutely dread it because of the rude, obnoxious, and inattentive staff members with attitude problems that I have to be subjected to before I get to the doctors (who are great btw).
IN 2015 MY DAD WAS PLACED IN A ASSITANT LIVING FACILITY outside of the V.A. I WAS NOT PLEASE WITH THEIR SERVICE AT ALL. ONCE MY DAD RETURNED BACK TO THE V.A HOSPICE HE WAS RENDERED THE SERVICE NEEDED AND THAT'S WERE HE WANTED TO BE TO TAKE HIS FINAL RESTING PLACE. THE STAFF MADE HIS FINAL DAYS AS COMFORTABLE AS POSSIBLE!
The system isn't perfect but they make you feel at home
My father went 6+ years not diagnosed with cancer all while regularly attending appointments and procedures. 3 days before he was admitted to that death trap he had a eco cardiogram and was told everything is normal and 3 days later had to have 700cc's of fluid removed from around his heart. Plus on top of that they tried numerous times to talk me into putting a dnr on my dad and called me selfish while he was coherent. I have always been treated well by the staff and physicians! If only we could receive care like this In the civilian sector!
Horrible experience. Appointment times means nothing. You are seen at their earliest convenience. Over book same appointment slots until you are waiting 4 hours for your scheduled appointment. Terrible. I will treat myself next time rather than drive to this place.
After a car accident i had on 4/15, i got rushed by request to the Miami VA hospital. From the moment the adbulance wheeled me in, to the day i got discharge, i got the best treatment ever. Ive been working in the health care field for over 4 years already, and the love,care, and dedication that these nurses, and medical team of physicians showed me while taking take of me was amazing. Appointments mean nothing. You sit and wait regardless. Been here an hour and half for my surgery pre-op and have only had my vitals taken. My last appointment I was here for a total of 5 hrs for 2 different appointments. Had to leave my first one without being seen to go to my next one then go back to my first one. Glad I e never come for emergency or urgent care because I probably would've died.
