DO NOT GO TO MEXICO CITY!!!! – This place is good if you like horrible service and an owner who treats her customers like garbage!! And lets not forget the male genitalia that was hand drawn on the lime of my margarita...NO JOKE! I love dining out and this is the only place I will NOT ever go back to.
Best Mole sauce in LA! – Although it may not be "authentic" down home Mexican food, this place rocks in many ways. The mole sauce is amazing... you have to try it. This is also true for the Ranchero sauce. The wife loves the shrimp veracruzana, which is a tomato, onion, and caper sauce with grilled shrimp. They also have great chips and salsa, and the margaritas definitely are great. yummy mexican food in my neighborhood – i love mexico city, and have since i was 14, when i liked it because of cute tattooed boys.. i like it for the same reason now, but now i also appreciate the delicious food that partially fills the gaping hole in the LA food scene for good non-taco stand mexican food. there are different salsas for different taste buds -- the spicy one is my favorite.. the food can be greasy but its always yummy. the waiters are always helpful, the other diners are good looking, its in a great neighbor... read more
Best Margaritas Ever!!! Great atmosphere, friendly spot – Highly recommend! The food is great, the booths are comfortable, the margaritas are EXCEPTIONAL!!!! A little pricey, but completely worth it!
Mexico City es bueno – Sick and tired of the reaction: Youve lived in LA for how many years, and you havent been to Mexico City?? my boyfriend and I decided to make the long trek out to the East side to try it. Let me start by talking about the margaritas. The drinks alone are worth the trip. Ive lived in Texas and been to Mexico several times the food is up to snuff with any of the best places in these areas. The atmosphere is fun and the waitstaff is attentive and friendly. Highly recommended and cant wait to return.
WHAT ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT? – do not listen to the nay-sayers. mexico city is fabulous. their guac is fantastic, the margaritas are admittedly "eh" but the shrimp is killer good! a little ona the pricey side for mexican, but it's def worth it in flavor.
I liked it! – Went for the first time on Friday and I really liked it. I am very picky when it comes to Mexican food and I thought the food was excellent and so were the margaritas. We had great service and the prices were fair. My boyfriend and I were both very pleased with our meals and drinks.
not so good – over priced, average tasting, bad service, 10.00 for a cadillac margarita, very bad atmosphere.
Possibly the worst dining experience ever – Not only was the food bland and overpriced, the service was horrendous. When we ordered the nachos they came with peppers. The menu doesn't list peppers as one of the ingredients on the nachos and my friend is allergic. When we sent them back they just picked the peppers off! Then when we sent them back a 2nd time the waiter got mad and only came by once more to give us our check. He also charged us for hot sauce without telling us beforehand.
