Mole Verde – All I have to say is mole verde! The best mole in town! And their tortilla chips? Mmmmm! Have a Margarita while your there to!
Our favorite Mexican Resturant – This is our favorite Mexican Resturant. The servers are nice, it is very affordable, and the food is delicious and they give you a generous amount. It is my husband and my go to place. Whenever we leave, we are in a good mood because of the comfortable atmosphere, the good food and tasty Margaritas. We live in the neighborhood and we like to walk there. We have been there probably 10 times and only once did we have slow service, but they were still really nice. I highly recommend it.
Good food; terrible customer service – Being a new parent, finding time to go out to dinner isn't easy. That's why we were so disappointed with the awful treatment we received at Mexico City last weekend. worst experience – After my experience this weekend I was compelled to write this. I had a decent dinner here on Friday evening and so I came back with my girlfriend on Sunday. While my burrito was acceptable, her "special tacos" meal was just terrible. Not wanting to say anything, she just picked at it until the meal was over and finally admitted to me that she thought there was something just wrong with it. great place for mexican food – Finally a place with good authentic mexican food. I cant get enough of this place. Big variety of food for a great price. The service is good and the atmosphere is awesome. It is a nice family restaurant, but it gets a little too loud sometimes. Drinks are ok, not the best, but the great food balances the drink aspect. Average Food and Generally Overrated. – After hearing many raves about Mexico City, my husband and I finally decided to give it a try. After spending a frustrating amount of time trying to find a parking spot, we finally entered the overly crowded and loud dining room only to wait again for seating. AVOID THIS PLACE – terrible service, horrible food, AND they want way too much $ for it. we didn't even finish our meal we were so PO'd and disgusted. this place doesn't even deserve a long explaination on why it's such trash. just don't go.
over priced , not good mexican food – Mexican food I love it. You are better off going to Alcapulco down the street, Mexico city is overpriced and under sliced food. I go to a mexican restaurant because I am hungry... not dieting.
Good Mexican food! – After having great home cooked Mexican meals for my whole life and experiencing Arizona Mexican restaurants I consider myself to be spoiled. Most L.A. Mexican restaurants are a far cry from good Mexican food but Mexico City is the exception. The times I have visited, I have had the Plato Mexica and the side of calabacitas (zucchini).
