Everything I've tasted on the menu has been good, but I am partial to the cochinita pibil dish they serve. Margaritas are nice by the pitcher here too.

Rude staff, bland food. For instance- enchiladas are just chicken wrapped in a tortilla swimming in tasteless sauce. Tamales are mush wrapped in a corn husk. Also if you have any concerns, they will claim there is "no manager" to speak to. Ha! You are better off at a dumb franchise like "Alcapulco".

Nothing Special – I can't speak to the more elaborate dishes here. But if you're looking for the basic burrito, rice and beans experience, you can do much better. There was nothing special about the taste here, especially for the money - - a tad expensive for what you get. El Pollo Loco's Ultimate burrito is tastier and half the price.

Worst Mexican Restaurant in Los Angeles – This was the worst restaurant experience I have ever had. From the moment we arrived the hostess was a totally rude and condescending. She ruined our night. She was on some surreal power trip towards everyone waiting to eat. This place is definitely not trendy any more and looks like a dump. I would rather eat at Del Taco. The service is much better and the customers and employees are treated with dignity.

Awesome Mexican Food with Homemade Taste – Authentic, mouth watering dishes that have a distinct homemade taste which is often so hard to find at Mexican restaurants in LA. Great service from nice friendly staff. It's a fun place to drink sangria, get a little rowdy, but all with good humor. I highly recommend it for any one looking for the best Mexican food in Los Feliz.

Nice Crowd – I have never had a bad time at Mexico City. It has a great diverse crowd, no attitude, great waiters like Victor, and good food. It's like going out and going home.

great carne asada – great food, quick service, traditional mexican dishes, and a great rotation of new variations on classic meals. I've been a few times, and I will certainly visit again soon. The carne asada is awesome!

Good, Lethal Drinks, Food so-so – This place is a hipster haven, but fun atmosphere. The drinks are delicious and lethal! Yumm! One margerita almost did me in. The food, not so much. I had fajitas and they were bland and didn't come with any extras...not even sour cream. I would go back - but only to meet friends for drinks and apps.

Disappointment – This is my first review at this site, and I'm sorry to say that Mexico City was a disappointment for me. Started with a whopping great martini on the rocks, two very good salsas (one tomatillo, one red) that came with the real tortilla chips - and then things fell apart. Service was very good. Food not so. Worst Tortilla soup I've ever had. Tasted as though they just heated up some tomato juice; it was way too acid. Waitress took it off my check. Shrimp Veracruzana was not the best I've had; again with acidy... read more
