I wanted to also tell you that I have had 2 operations at Mercy Hospital. While I was there, I was treated like a person and not just a number. I like to relax and joke with people. My dad didn't have a sponge bath for 8 days in your care. On the 12th day my father passed away. He had the worst care I have ever seen. Everything was documented. I don't suggest anyone takes a family member her or goes here. They will use your body as cadaver as they are all students on 5th floor an ICU as I seen for my own eyes! My mother had to do all there work. As they wouldn't even tape down his pick line for his dialysis or cover it as I have asked. And he did have terminal agitation. If I could give 0-stars I would. The hospital is under staffed and full of student. You are basically a "practice Patient", Please save yourself and go to a different hospital.

A special thank you to a wonderful surgical team that did a great job making my surgery feel personal. The nursing team on the floor was great. They listen to my concerns about my pain and problem solved coming up with the perfect solution. The night staff was very quiet and gave me time to rest. Everyone was was very attentive to my needs. They made sure I felt safe enough to be at home alone before releasing me.
I just had my son a week ago at mercy birthplace and cannot extend the gratitude that I have for these people. They were all so kind, attentive, and really made me and my new family feel very special. I just got a congratulatory card from all my nurses with a personal written note from each. This meant even sooo much more to me and will so be recommending the birthplace to my friends. They met and exceeded all my expectations. �

From housekeeping to physicians and all departments between, Mercy staff cares. My 24/48 observation turned into a 5 day stay. The professional medical knowledge and kind, caring spirits of all involved with my care was top notch. Mercy truly does care and I'm thankful for all that was done on my behalf. Thank you for blessing me with your smiles, hugs, concern, and knowledge that aided my healing.
