Yesterday, May 8, 2018 I arrived at 10:00 a.m. and had to wait 45 minutes before anyone in registration could check me in. Then it took 15 additional minutes while the surly woman behind the desk fumbled her way through the checkin process having to ask another person for help along the way. This is despite the fact that I have been in this hospital numerous times this year and they continually gather the same information. The process is broken. Terrible experience so far. I have been waiting in the ER waiting room with my mother for several hours now. There are others who have said that they have been waiting for over five hours. Five hours! Are you kidding me!? It certainly seems like this hospital would rather its patients suffer in their waiting room for hours other than help them. Do not come to this hospital. You are likely to die in the waiting room before anyone sees you.
My Mother was inMemorial hospital for liking 1day being 2 weeks and was NEVER given a bath, changed her gown one time, her floor was NOT swept or mopped !! I would NOT recommend this hospital for anyone !!
With all the money CHI Memorial spends on ADVERTISING their so called awesome Heart Institute, you'd think the Heart Dept would return phone calls. I've called them 3x in the last 2 days with NO return call I even called the hospital admin office 2x today., NO return call. I had to eventually go to ER last night to get checked out and ER Dr said good luck getting a return phone call. SHAME ON YOU CHI MEMORIAL. I even emailed marketing dept and no response. This a HEART INSTITUTE clearly no one there has one.
Had surgery this morning and spending the night. The staff is great. Glad I chose memorial.
I have had very good treatment from CHI (memorial downtown & Hixson) all were caring and concern for me.
It is the best Hospital all around and I have been in a few North and South, the care is excellent and excellent doctors, I would not choose another one in our community. Thank you Memorial, especially the heart Doctors.
