I have been a Republic service customer for seven years in those seven years they never picked up my trash or recycling on a consistent bases. Recently they started to charge you for their fuel for having to come out to their job. They did this without sending me a notification to my house. In the meantime of canceling they charge me the next billing cycle and then they decided to Keep my money. If I could leave negative stars, I would. Trash collection is this company's cover for scamming people out of money. I've used them for multiple years, and my **** is almost triple the original amount. I called over the years to question the increases, and was always told it had to do with fuel surcharges or similar. I finally decided to call around and get quotes from other companies, and was shocked at the price difference. I spent about a month trying to cancel my service. Republic Services is a terrible business. They over charge. Their environmental fees are higher than other company's total charges. When we switched away from them, I stopped autopayment 2 months before the **** was due. I also deleted my bank info from their website. Instead of billing me like they said they would, they stole money out of my account anyway. Then, they sent us a **** saying they owed us $111.44. We have yet to see that money. We are serviced through Republic Services in ******, ** at ********************** will not even give them a 1. My rating is a minus Zero. We had received good service when we lived in another town for 34 years and moved to another town ** 7 years ago and we have had terrible service and they have received ourpayment every quarter on time. I had good service from Republic Services until I asked if they had a discount for seniors. At that time I was told they do not service my address. I told them they do and my original service was with Santech. Told then that not taking no new service and billing/cost information not available for my address. Took my account off autopay and cancelled at end of contract. Republic services does not honor their contractual obligations. They have not picked up my lawn trash in wees. I call everyday and they tell me the same lie that they are sending someone right away. My lawn bags eventually reached a count of over 20 in front of my house so I had to pay someone to take them away. I've never missed a payment yet they treat me as though I'm bothering them. I have no choice in service as my community leaders unfortunately made the choice. I hate this company and their awful business practices. E... read more

Republic is the worst company I have ever dealt with. I have severe arthritis and submitted per their request a filled out form called "Verification of Disability: Trash Collection" back on 1/202022. Per Republics' request, I was to locate the trash bins (trash and recyclable) on my driveway away from my home so they could be seen from the road. I am not happy with Republic Services. I have a contract however they change the fees as they see fit. They do not communicate and IU will not renew my services with them
