They dont pick up on time, wont answer phone and dont return calls. They have passed our house 3 weeks in a row without picking up trash.

The employee keep complaining about the parking on my street which I dont even park he even take a picture multiple times sometimes when pickup the bin the then put the empty bin in the middle of the road this is pure harassment of the employee I call the republic service office and still keep sending me a mail about the parking which I never used my address is **************** *****

Republic Services in MI: One of the worst companies we have ever dealt with. Continually increasing rates with no notice, fuel recovery surcharge increase even when gas prices went down, and no recognition that we have been a loyal customer for 20 years when we call to complain. Although unlike some of the other complaints on here, our garbage was faithfully picked up every week, so that was one thing they did well for us. This company continues to raise they're prices because they have you sign a 3 year contract which states they are entitled to do whatever they want so long as it benefits them. We have tried to cancel, but they just send you a new 3 year contract to sign. They claim you have to talk to the agent assigned to your account however we have been calling them for 2 months now with no one responding back. They skip our scheduled pick up days regularly. I call and they say someone will pick it up that day, and that never happens. Liars.

I live in ***************, ****** I moved here July 2021. I was not aware that Republic Services SHOULD NOT be billing me for trash services since I already pay through the ***********************. So over the years Ive paid them $249.35 which they owe me Ive called them on 5/8/23 telling them they owe me a refund (they sent me a past due bill of $52.99 on April 30, 2023) this was the Last straw. No stars, service has always been spotty at best. Over the last 3 months I have drug my cans back and forth from the curb countless times, still to find them full after returning home from work. I have called in at least 22 times over this period of time, I am told my issues will be escalated and I will receive a call from someone in management to resolve the problem. NEVER once did I receive a call from anyone from Republic Services. Come to find out I am only one of hundreds dealing with lack of service from this company. ... read more

Terrible customer service. I canceled my service a few days before end of quarter, cans were removed. I continued to get a full quarter bill, auto-mated calls, threats of collection agency. I called and talked to someone. Three weeks later I'm still getting calls. NOT a person on the call to talk to, just an automated call threatening collection agency. And now I have to pay $120 for them to remove the cans that they took back nearly two months ago. Last compost season they missed several pickups and I had to call to get cre... read more

Even with lower fuel costs, they increase the bill as fuel recovery because they expect customers to fund their operating costs. Then they charge $90 to cancel services. They are unethical and try to scam customers.
