I am being denied my right to have my service animal with me during my stay at orange park medical. This is illegal and goes against Florida statue 431.08. The dog is a service animal trained for seizures. This is a ADA violation
My husband was a patient there The MRI was not done quick enough in time for him to get the TPA The nurses dont listen to patient or monitor the monitors . The doctors are not on the same page with treatment Neurologist suggested 2 meds to be started then in the afternoon when I asked about the second med he said who told you we would start that . my nurse was wonderful, however, Dr Daigle (sp?) never introduced himself, questioned my sinburn bc i have the flu (bc apparently you can't get a sunburn before the ypur diagnosis), diagnosed me with pneumonia. Never read my past medical history/current meds, and lied to my face saying he had been in several times but I was out of room (I was ppo jt for urinalysis and chest xray, and to use restroom). before he sakd this the nurse informed me he was waiting on test results before coming to see me. I was on the Behavior health center Unit from 5/31-6/5 after issue with PTSD. I am a Veteran and thought this was closer than the VA so I went here, HUGE MISTAKE! Got to the ER at 3am,was told I could not leave until I see the Psychiatrist which would be after 5pm on the Unit. Put me in an ER room and forgot about me, very hard to get meds for headache. Once on the unit I was given no information about the unit. If I asked the tech/nurse a question they would put their hand in my face, and walk away. The unit was so dirty. T... read more
