I have to say as an Amerigas customer for over 5 years it is totally unexplainable how they can not answer the phone on their customer service line. I have been trying to order gas delivery for almost 2 months and cannot get a response. Their online chat function on their website is essentially disabled. When you call customer service the automated recording for 2 months says call volumes are exceptionally high and wait times exceptionally long and then simply disconnects the call. I’m beyond disgusted with AmeriGas operation. The company bought our local propane company who had human beings working for them. Customer service is not in AmeriGas’s vocabulary. These poor customer service advocates who have NO access to methods to resolve issues are taking the brunt of irate customers. I've written a narrative of each of my calls. Have been waiting for delivery from 12/22 to 1/1, did not receive have spent 8 hours on hold everyday since 1/2/21 trying to get a delivery date, was told it was expedited each day, promised delivery on 1/8/21, nor delivered, promised again for 1/9/21 still not delivered tank at 1%

Amerigas brought us a new tank (new customers) around 12/24, and we are still waiting for them to fill it up. Countless calls to them, and they say they will be here the next day, to which we are still waiting. Our electric bill will be very high due to running electric heaters and the oven to stay warm. This company tells you they will do one thing, yet does another while making you wait. This is no way to treat customers, especially new customers! I’d like to file my complaint against AmeriGas, I’ve been on the ticket to receive propane since 11/20/20, have not gotten anything, have been calling daily sometimes twice daily and getting told the same thing “ a supervisor will call you back” Not one supervisor has called, I’m under contract and make my monthly payments on time, I feel stuck, now that I don’t have any propane, what are we to do. A brief history: A driver had filled our tank to capacity, which we never do because it is too expensive for one payment. So, I decided to try and pay the bill over a few months. Apparently, the bill has to be paid in full within a certain time frame, a time frame that we did not meet (we were unaware). So they moved our account to will-call. I've ran out of gas a few times and have placed expedited delivery orders before. Sometimes it takes a few days to get the fill. But, hey I get it takes time. I ran out of gas again and... read more

I think they are terrible. Its been bad for me with money like everyone else. I am on almost zero that can't even make an emergency stop I have to wait 14 days they just don't care.

This company is absolutely horrible! I don't even know how they haven't been shut down yet. Was a customer on automatic delivery for 2 years. Figured when I bought the house I would keep it simple and transfer the service in my name. I don't know what happened this year but across the U.S people are having the same issues so that tell's you something. I was put in for a delivery on December 8, 2020. 2 weeks went by and nothing. What a trash company, Out of heat for over 2 weeks and still no scheduled delivery date. Don't worry in the time it took to get through to customer service, I already scheduled a new company to come change our tank. Thanks Amerigas??
