Best mexican food, fabulous margaritas! – Off the chart! I sat outside waiting for my son and his girlfriend to arrive. The waiter came out and unsolicited brought me the best guacomole, chips and salsa I've ever had. The server was the exact balance between friendly and utterly competent. Neat Place – This is a neat place to go in a group and have drinks and some fun apps. The plates are small and the prices are a bit high. The food quality is good. My problem was the way they bring things out. We ordered 3 things and the first one camr very fast. It was good. Then we waited over 20 mins for the next thing, so we asked the waiter, who said it will be a minute. 15 mins later the next two came at the same time. Like I said the food was good, the service could be better, but it's a neat experience.
Good for cocktails & apps. – But not the best place to have a nice dinner. I wasn't impressed with Mamacita. The service was a bit slow, but that was due to the kitchen's errors. They prepared my dish wrong and we had to wait at least 10 minutes for one of my friend's dish. Our server was pretty good otherwise. Although, I did have to track him down to get another drink. I have had lot of incredible mexican food..i even dated a mexican girl for 3 years whos mother could cook – I have had lot of incredible mexican food in my day..i even dated a mexican girl for 3 years whos mother was an amazing chef. Mamaacitas as far as im concerned is top mexican cuisine and i will continue to go back when ever i am in the Bay area. Its about time SF has great mexican food!
The best restaurant in the city – I absolutely love eating at Mamacita's. The food is amazing, especially the tacos. All the flavors are unique and work well together. This place does not serve traditional pinto beans and rice, but serves really unique and tasty foods. The desserts were heavenly. This is my absolute favorite restaurant in the city!
Be prepared to wait! – We had to wait an hour and a half. If you're looking for traditional mexican food - this isn't the place. The menu is nothing special - infact I'm not sure its mexican food. Great for a good margarita - but thats it.
worth every penny and more – How do you say "that was amazing" in spanish. Cause it was. The entire experience was one that I will return to often.
Muy Bonita Mamacita – My favorite Mexican restaurant is Maya (on 2nd St.) so I always make comparisons with others who dare to challenge them. Beautiful people surround you, both men and women. No salt or pepper shakers on the table. You won't need them. Tamales are dry though. Asparagus is awesome!
mama mama mamacita – I am not a marina head but still found great joy in both this restaurant and the festive atmosphere that has been created. I had outstanding and very high quality food with fresh lime margaritas...i could see the pulp floating in there too.
