At Mamacita we pride ourselves on creating a community atmosphere while serving culinary creations and libations utilizing the freshest of ingredients. At the core of our offering is a homage to original Mexican dishes made from scratch each day. House-made tamales, tortillas and sauces create a foundation for our ever seasonal menu. While unique and carefully crafted ceviches, enchiladas and tacos have become house staples.

Beyond Burritos... – Finally the Marina/Cow Hollow area has a Mexican restaurant worth raving about! We were graciously greeted and immediately seated. The beautiful room is decorated with a tremendous attention to detail and the lighting was perfect. Service was also spot-on all evening. Probably the two things that stood out most in the food was the absolute freshness of the ingredients and the unique flavors in the sauces/spices. The carnitas tacos and quesadillas were of particular note. Everything recomended by the staf... read more
Yummy! – Love the food and the atmosphere.... the marina is lacking places like this.
My new favorite Mexican Restaurant! – After my first meal at Mamacita it became my favorite Mexican restaurant in SF! The food is prepared with the freshest of ingredients with just the right amount of bite to let you know that you are eating really good Mexican food. Love the Clase Azul tequilla too! Thanks for bringing back high quality Mexican food to SF. Great place to have dinner and a movie with the Presidio right across the street.
Great experience – great food, times and experience. and the bar tenders can make a great drink.
Great food far exceeded expectations! – I will definitely be coming back to Mamacita soon! We started off with pomegranite margaritas which were great. Everything we ordered was delicious. We started with the "Ceviche de atún", a latin twist on tuna tartar. It was really fresh and went perfectly with the yucca chips. Next we tried Chilequiles casi listos. I had never had chilequiles and wasn't sure what to expect, but it tasted so good - definitely a must-have at Mamacita. For dinner, I can't think of what could have been be... read more
Mamacita is wonderful – I was happily surprised to find the food unique, and mouth-watering not to mention the exceptional service and menu pricing. They have great margaritas, delicious enchiladas and the ahi appetizer was scrumptious. Overalll I would rate it a "10" and will be back next weekend.
Tasty, Fun and Good Drinks...in the Marina...Damn – I was utterly scared to embark on a culinary experience in the Marina but was I not only surprised I left happy as can be. Everything was fantastic ever the eclectic (yes I said eclectic) marina crowd. The drinks were perfectly made and I even saw them squeeze the limes for my margarita pitchers. The food especially the in-season fresh crab was superb and overall a very enjoyable experience. Parking is a bit tough but the parking and a bit of a mini wait are well well worth... read more
Great Experience – My roommate and I went for dinner one night and were really glad we'd made reservations -- we heard there was a three-hour wait otherwise and that people were actually waiting! After eating here, I totally understand why -- the atmosphere was lively and fun, the decor was perfect (loved the beautiful photographs on the wall), the waitress was friendly and helpful, and the food was phenomenal. Definitely try the chilequiles (sp?) -- they can make them milder for you if you can't handle spicy, and the skirt ... read more
Disappointment – I saw the prices and figured it must be really good Mexican food, but I was pretty let down. Definitely overpriced for the quality of the food. Had it been cheaper, I might not have been as disappointed. The service was decent, and the design of the restaurant was great. I guess I should have figured that the place would be overfilled with generic "Marina" people, but the crowd still was overly annoying.
