Good Enough Food, But I Expect More For My Money – I've been here a few times, and the food always ends up being pretty good -- when we get it. True, I always come on weekend nights, but when I go to a restaurant I expect (1) my server to not forget to put in orders to the kitchen and (2) for my food to come out in a reasonable time, without me having to check on it. A couple of times it's taken at least an hour and a half for my group's entrees to come out, and they weren't even all brought out at the same time. And yes, ev... read more
pretty people. good ambience. tasty food. good music. – i really liked luna park. the place was nice. the waitress was nice. the food was tasty. i had the salmon, my date had the chicken. they were both really yummy :) i liked that the restaurant wasnt all up-ity like lots of the other trendy l.a. restaurants. oh.. and the s'mores. get the s'mores! make your own smores. yummmmmmmmmmmmm
Good place, fun drinks – The food here is good, and the atmosphere is fun, but something was lacking the last time I went. I would recommend going if you are in the neighborhood, but it did not live up to my expectations driving from across town to go here.
It was decent. – I loved the Caribbean chicken. The sweet potatoes were flavorful. The food seems to be very seasoned, which I like. The energy was average I would say. I went with co-workers for lunch, so it wasn't too crowded. However, I do feel that each item on the menu could come down in price by $2.00. For some reason, our waitress was kind of "spacing out" on us. Perhaps she was new. But, overall I would recommend this place.
One crowded 'Park' – Extremely crowded, hope your not claustrophobic. The food was very average and service was forgettable. NEXT...
no TV – I got a tv at home, I dont need one in a restaurant. Such good food and a great atmosphere. . . why put a television
Mojitos and Goat Cheese Fondue!!! – We got there for two things. Their mojitos AND their goat cheese fondue!!! To be honest, we wished their entrees were a bit more enticing. Maybe a bit larger in portion. But their mojitos and their goat cheese fondue (w/ bread and sliced apples) keep us coming back! I definitely recommend making reservations, as it does get busy. During these times, it is also quite noisy. But show up in their off peak hours, and things are awesome. Request for a booth...as it is a bit quieter and you can ... read more
What a great place! – Everything about this place is great! The food...great. The atmosphere...great. The drinks...great (try the mojito!) and I have to give a special shout out to the desserts, specifically the homemade smores...so good! Have always had a great time and great service here...highly recommended.
Fun and Consistently Good Standby – An outpost of a successful restaurant in San Francisco's Mission District, Luna Park stands out with its lively atmosphere, inventive bar, great high-ceilinged decor and consistently good food. I love the Pou-Pou platter appetizer, a throwback to Tiki restaurants of my childhood. The mussels are a good option too. The salads are innovative and big enough for a couple to share. I enjoy the one with spinach, candied walnuts, dried currants and goat cheese. Entree choices are great - amazing ... read more
