Dissappointing...don't understand the high raves & hypes – I was recently there for my sister's birthday with my family. It was definitely NOT a place for family dining- especially with parents. It was very loud, crowded, and dark- I had to read the menus for my parents, we could barely see the food (couldn't see any colors). The service was just okay. The food overall- we tried 5 different dishes- was pretty dissappointing considering all the hypes and raves about this restaurant. Some dishes were too dry and burnt- we coul... read more

Hope things get better! – We used to love this place...the food was great, the drinks were terrific, and the ambiance made it a perfect date place. The last 2 times we went were very disappointing: both our dishes were on the beyond-salty side, my mojito (once delicious!) was practically all ice, and they've packed so many tables in that it makes it hard to get around. One of these last times was for the prix-fixe menu for Valentine's and we were so disappointed. The food was only so-so and it was all so overpriced, but I gu... read more

Love this restaurant! – In a town where seemingly all good food comes with a high price tag, I was really impressed with Luna Park which offers great food at reasonable prices. I went with a group people and everyone loved their food, which is the first time we have all agreed on a restaurant! One downfall: The six of us (all couples) were placed in a booth, which made the seating arrangements a bit awkward. Service was also a bit slow. Other than that it was truly a memorable occasion. Make sure to make a reservation!

Nothing to write home about... – This is a trendy Hollywood spot for socializing. The food isn't all that great and really greasy. The prices are upper average. The menu selection is average and so is the quality of the food. The dining room is really tight and don't be surprised if you keep getting bumped into.

Too crowded and noisy – Went on a Saturday night and it was totally crazy!! So crowded. We made a reservation, but still it took an hour to seat us!!! There's barely any room to stand around inside. Once we sat down it took even longer to get a drink order in and then actually get the drinks. I do have to say the after placing our food order the appetizers and main courses did arrive rather quickly...The corndog apps and curried pork satay were pretty tasty...I had the flank steak...which for $15 (ish) is a pretty good deal.... read more

Busy place, good value and good food from return customers. – We've eaten here a few times, most recently last friday night (Dec. 15th). The service was a little eratic (slow to get us drinks, slow to get food orders, but the food arrived super fast). The food was good, my wife had the wild boar rogatoni, with a side of brussels sprouts, I had the flank steak. The rigatoni and the brussels sprouts were fabulous. My steak was good, a tad tough. My fries were just right. The other really nice thing about Luna Park is they have... read more

LA's closest thing to a neighborood haunt. – Other cities have corner stores and neighborhood restaurants. LA just has high end restaurants and taco stands. I'd say Luda Park is one of the closer things to a neighborhood joint. I had a good but not particularly memorable dinner there a few months back. Everything was good, but not great. Most memorable was the make-your-own smores.

Nothing special.. – Slooooow service. We had reservations for a party of 20 and they tried to squish us in one long table before we complained and had them reserve us another table so we could all sit comfortably. Was very crowded to begin with (on a Saturday evening). They got a friend's order wrong and by the time they were able to bring out another meal, everyone was already finished and onto dessert. The food that we did have were rather tasty though. Good mac&cheese in a rather medium-sized serving. My friend had the sa... read more

What's all the fuss – I don't get it, why do so many people go there? I had to wait for a table, service was slow and they have a limited menu. Maybe because it's sort a cheap, but not really. The food is ok, so if you like loud, slow service and ok food, go
