About this business
Located along the Lockport section of the Erie Canal, this amazing underground boat ride is unique. Using a custom-built flat-bottom boat, visitors go on a half-mile trip through a man-made hydraulic raceway cut out of solid rock, the work of 19th-century genius Birdsill Holly— the man who gave the world the fire hydrant and zoned steam heat. Accompanied by a guide and trained operators, the 1 1/4-hour ride is thrilling and perfectly safe.

Enjoyed visiting a local wonder. Our guide Page was fun, but serious when she needed to be. I recommend to anyone who has never been here to check it out.
My husband and I had a great trip and our tour guide Alexander was very informative!
Dropped in without reservations and luckily we were able to get seats! Paige led our tour. She was fantastic and so incredibly knowledgeable! If you were thinking about going...go😄
My husband and I stopped by for a tour on our way home from Niagara Falls NY. We arrived at 10:30a or so and got into the 11a tour. The girl at the desk was very polite, gave us suggestions on how to kill sometime locally before the tour. Zach was our tour guide, he was very informative and kept us entertained. The boat ride and cave were amazing. Would highly recommend this tour.

We took a tour with Zach, he was a great guide! The only criticism I have is how quickly tours fill up... but I'm glad they're doing great business! Reserve your tour online for better time management of your afternoon :D

We went to the 4pm tour today and it was a great experience! The kids loved it, we loved it and Sara our tour guide was so sweet! We loved her! Definitely worth checking out, and the price is reasonable.

After living in Lockport for over 20 years, I figured it was time to visit the Cave Tour. What an amazing experience! No, you won't see ancient drawings on the walls-but you will learn about the grand history of the Erie Canal from the knowledgeable tour guides. How the industrial age came to Lockport and the importance of the canal in commerce-both trade and tourism. Be sure to ask questions-you'd be surprised at what they know! Highly recommend to locals & visitors alike.
This past Sunday I took a tour of the cave. The guide was Alexander, he knows his stuff! Very interesting, very informative! Well done!!!
