I would give negative stars if I could. I am in the middle of the most miserable experience of my life with LoanDepot - and that is saying a lot given the hell they put me through last year. The people you will talk to upfront are sales people, and will tell you all kinds of things to get you to sign up for a loan - and then you go to some clueless underwriter who will drag their feet, make repetitive requests for documentation and requests documents that they themselves admit they don't actually need, they just need for the... read more

LoanDepot charged me $495 on 7/2/19 for an appraisal that was never done. Their policies state that there will be a full refund. After repeated follow-up emails and phone calls, there was no credit. After trying to contact Jeff W****, COO tonight, I was assured that I will get a refund.

it was a long process and sometimes not pleasant dealing with the back and worth between loan officer and processing acct mgr. in the end i asked one simple question to processing mrg and got contact loan officer and no repl from loan officer. not even a simple email stating weather he acknowledge receiving my email.he is the same person who didn"t enter apply my dicount for repeat loan business. This was the quickest loan that I have every done before. They don't ask for a lot of paperwork and when I would send an email they always replied within the same day. I would differently use them again.

We applied for a loan and gave all the documents they requested. They asked us several times for the same documents as they did not communicate with each other obviously. ALL the documents were submitted to them and they promised us a certain mortgage rate, etc. Because of their lack of communication with each other and the amount of time it took for them to go over everything, they no longer could offer us the percent they promised.
