Second time around for us with Loan Depot, they contacted us with the opportunity to lower our current mortgage from the current mortgage which they held, never had that happen before? In addition, having been through their process previously, we had very little to do to get his re-fi completed and had almost everything their underwriters requested readily available on-line and we could respond quickly. Less than 30-days second time around to close!

I got a good rate, but the experience was pretty bad. The loan officer continued lying about the loan being zero cost throughout the process. After my application was started, he was not responsive to my emails. It took me several reminders and days to get his responses. Towards the end, I was told rudely that zero cost is not happening. I involved their manager, who also did not help other than threatening to cancel my loan. I just closed with loanDepot on a 15-year fixed mortgage. They offered the best rate (and I looked on a lot of different websites), but warned me that it would take a while to close. I had a good feeling about the folks at loanDepot I was working with (Victor A*** and Danielle A****), and I stuck with them, and we just closed at a rate that was substantially lower than the other best available rates. Vincent V****** from Loan Depot was an amazing representative to work with. He is knowledgeable, efficient and trustworthy. Vincent got my rate down from 4.75 with Wells Fargo to 2.99 with Loan Depot.

I was shopping for a good rate with several lenders and make the mistake of calling Loan Depot. I explained to the loan officer that I was shopping for a good VA interest rate. I gave him the information most lenders request in order to determine a rate. I informed him I would review his proposal along with the other lenders I had contacted. At this point we moved into the used car salesman mode. He asked me " what do I have to do to get your business today." When I am quoted an interest rate and i comment it is by far the lowest rate i have seen for a 30 year fixed mortgage and there is no comment made by the loan officer it gets fishy. When I open my disclosures to see we are 3 days in and i was quoted an ARM and the loan officer did not tell me that, I am not a happy customer. I felt lied to and I am assuming you take advantage of many consumers using this tatcic. I will never use loan depot.

Loandepot was amazing. Third home purchase in three years and we have used big box credit unions and banks previously and Loandepot was far superior in the processing of our loan. My family and I were always kept in the loop lowering stress amongst all of us! I will recommend them to everyone and I will personally use them again in the near future!

I refinanced my home in Nov 2020. Loandepot didn't pay my homeowner insurance although I have an encrow. They sent the check 2 weeks late and not even the full amount. I had to pay the late fee. Now I'm wondering if they paid my property tax. Do not use Loandepot. Also the customer service is BAD. You never get pass through all the phone call after another phone call. No human being talks to you. Worst customer service.
