This company needs to change the way they process loans. I had to pay for my home appraisal and upload all documents. I have excellent credit and a stable job. Loan Depot denied my loan based on they couldn't verify my address which has been established for 43 years. The appraisal lady and my friends have no problem searching and finding the house. They also said I needed a full house appraisal. My wife has a valuable Elvis collection and didn't want anyone taking pics of the inside of the house. The loan officer ***** *****... read more

To me they are very unorganizedthey did close the loan as promised by the initial loan officer.hope the mortgage amount remains as it was promised by initial loan officer..there seem to be a disconnect between senior loan officers and initial loan officers that caused a real stress in my closing

My interaction with loanDepot started when I was not 100% sure about refinancing, I was just shopping around. It was my first time refinancing a home so I did not know how it worked and Julian took the time to educate me and help me to understand and be at ease with the whole process. I sent an additional payment to be applied to my principal balance. Loan Depot received the payment June 1 and the payment cleared my bank on June 4. I have contacted them three times and as of June 23rd, the payment has not been applied to my principal. They keep telling me it will be applied in two days. In the meantime, I'm still accruing interest on the higher balance. I have asked to speak to a manager and they tell me they are not available but will get back to me in one to two days. I was told I could get a 15 year at 1.875 with very little costs and it sounded too good to be true. Well a couple days before closing after waiting over 4 weeks I get a call telling me that loan won't work any more but we can give you a 20 year loan at 2.25. Nice try on the bait and switch, but I'll go with a different lender. "
