The underwriting team created lot of unwarranted issues for us and delayed the closing of our home by full 1 month. We had 800+ credit scores and solid job with W2 income in 150K+ - the issues were not related to anything related to that. The loan processing and underwriting team just disappeared for 3+ weeks and then asked us for an extra plumbing inspection cause the appraiser saw a small dark spot in the basement ceiling and mentioned that in the appraisal report. A very good company but the process took too long.
During the process I went on vacation and had to close my loan while I was away. Loandepot made it very convenient for me to do that.
You people are terrible! All you care about is running a persons credit! I told the person on the line I did not want to run my credit at all unless he was sure based on the info I gave him that I would be approved for a conventional loan and get rid of my pmi insurance and get away from a fha loan. He said everything was fine!!!! Then I let him run my credit. He then at the end tell me I can not get this type of loan due to the fact that I have a chapter 7 discharged over 2 years ago.
