Dr Alvernia was a good doctor and I would not change coming to see him. It was great experience!!
ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!!! Was in the worst pain of my entire life. Could barely walk. Came to Dr. Alvernia. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful!! I ended needing a triple discectomy. I tell everybody, with full conviction, that he is a miracle worker!! I feel the best I have felt in 12 years!! Definitely recommend to anybody going through any kind of back/neck pain. And Janelle is the bomb!!
I recently had back surgery with Dr. Alvernia. He was a great surgeon and I would highly recommend him to any patient that is having back problems.

Dr. Alvernia was kind and professional from the beginning of my treatment until my release. His staff was very helpful and always had everything in order whenever I needed something.
MRI's I have looked at the reviews of prove that Alvernia did not repair C-7 . It had just as much damage as 3,4,5&6 ! Also nerves in my arms are effected by this which he denies ! He moved the funny bone nerve in my left arm saying it was the trouble with my hand ! What he did is really a no no in the medical field ! He may be good at many things but will try to deny his mistakes . Now I need a reconstruction team to help me ! I am having many problems with my neck and arms ! Pain and fever .
Dr. Alvernia was very professional and very patient oriented and willing to explain all procedures and does not get in a rush. I was more than happy with my outcome, it was much better than what I expected. I will happily refer friends and family to Dr. Alvenia.
My back and nerve problem was getting worse with every single day. I had come to Dr. Alvernia with the hope that he would be able to help me and my last hope. He was very honest and told me that if he did some test and they came back the way he hoped then he could help. Thank God he was able to help me. I have had several years with no feeling in my left leg. I can actually feel my leg and foot. I don't have as much numbness. I can never express the thankfulness.
I had a pinched nerve and ruptured disc in my back. I could barely walk so Dr. Borders told me to use Dr. Alvernia. He sent me to physical therapy and started me on Neurontin. This plan totally relieved my symptoms after 12 weeks of therapy. I appreciate his conservative approach that kept me from having surgery at this time. I did also have an EMG/nerve conduction study that he ordered for my hand numbness. He is going to perform my carpal tunnel surgery in the future.I highly recommend him.
