I had a synovial cyst on my spine and didn't know until my MRI results. I had back pain/issues most of the latter part of my life. Injections in my spine would not have helped. The only thing that helped was a steroid pack then the pain came right back. My only option was surgery which I had a 2 level lumbar fusion. He took the time to discuss everything with me before and after the surgery. Monroe Surgical was superb also. My wife and son use him now!!!!

My surgery went much better than expected this second time around. Dr. Alvernia was very thorough and explained all of my options along with imaging before he came to definite answer to what I needed to have done. Everything went well and I am not without pain.

My brother had an appointment, that very day he called and refused to help my brother whom is in dire need of surgery. Tried to force him to go see another doctor that he was unable to make the ride to see twice already as it was just too far to go in his condition. I've never seen such cruelty and inconsideration for the health of a person.

I suffered from neck pain since January of this year. I went to see Dr. Alvernia and he fixed my neck and I am now pain free. I would highly recommend Dr. Alvernia to anyone having spine issues. He is a very detailed and personable physician and he explained everything to me in detail and I had no concerns when it was time for my cervical surgery. I recovered well and thanks to Dr. Alvernia. His office and staff are very friendly and I just love Janelle!! She made it easy for me to call anytime.

Before I came to him my left leg was dragging and my pain was terrible. He went through everything he was going to do in surgery. He is firm and tells you exactly what he wants you to do. He made sure I had the best of care, he wanted me to go to rehab and for nobody to touch my dressing. I have hardware in my back now and my back was in terrible shape before surgery. Office staff is great. I decided to go to neuro instead of ortho spine for multiple reasons.i made the BEST choice

I have had issues with my back for years and finally saw this neurosurgeon. I had terrible pain(burning) down one leg to the toes. I had 5 injections from September-april prior to even seeing the surgeon.I had a herniated disc along with conjoined nerves in my L4-S1. I have pins and rods now and am very satisfied with my results. I take a Tylenol as needed for pain now. I did thorough research on this doc prior to surgery and I am very pleased.
