Dr. Alvernia and staff were attentive to my needs and showed concern during both carpal tunnel(both hands)and my 3 level neck fusion. During hospital stay, he was able to reassure me that I was progressing and would regain daily normal activity. He even physically helped reposition me to make me comfortable. I had no pain after surgery and I actually like my c-collar.I thank him for his knowledge of the spine and compassion for his patients.
I had ACDF surgery replacing two discs. From day one, Dr. Alvernia was very kind and patient with me. He took as much time as I needed to answer each question until I understood and was comfortable with the details of surgery. He always makes himself available to you and is never too busy for you. His staff is the absolute best! They are friendly and courteous and make time for whatever you may need. You wont find a better Dr or group of caregivers anywhere else.
Dr Alvernia is very attentive and very precise for the care he and his staff provide. He expects and requires the same attentive care while in the hospital. I have been extremely pleased with Dr. Alvernia and would choose him again if the need were to arise.. His office does not overbook and the wait time to see is usually less than 10 min.
My experience with Dr. Alvernia and his staff has been excellent. I already recommended a patient and she's already has surgery and has had instant relief. I would send anyone I knew that would need help.
He is an amazing doctor and I would recommend him to anybody!
I am very pleased with my surgery with no problems! I would recommend him to my family and friends. And very accommodating staff.
I was told by pain management doctor that I needed to see a neurosurgeon regarding my neck. I had been having injections in my neck for 5 years. I had already researched the surgeons in the area and knew I wanted to go to Dr. Alvernia because he is the only board certified neurosurgeon in Monroe and because of the reviews online(mainly on this website). I had a 3 level ACDF at P&S and had a great recovery. It was a whole lot better than I anticipated. 6 weeks of a collar was the worst.GREAT DOC
Dr. Alvernia was wonderful! I was extremely anxious, but he was very patient. He actually found the source of my pain that two other doctors and a radiologist had missed. My insurance company was difficult to work with. He did everything he could to help alleviate my pain while we waited. His office spent hours working with my insurance to get things approved timely. Dr. Alvernia himself fought tirelessly through doctor to doctor conferences to get everything my insurance company needed.
My primary care doctor sent me to him for back pain. Dr. Alvernia sent me to therapy along with a MRI to diagnose my problem. The therapy andback brace have fully relieved my discomfort, and I appreciate his conservative approach. He fully explained my back issue to me and thankful for his team.I will use him again if more issues arise.
