This is the only commercial airport in Orange County, situated 35 miles to the south of Los Angeles. It has two runways and parking space for over 7,500 vehicles. Over nine million passengers avail of its services each year, and over 20,000 tons of air cargo is handled here. Three commuter, 11 commercial and two all-cargo airlines operate from the airport too.

As it relates to Delta. Limited services by the gates and lots of construction. And no sky club.
I have been traveling consistently for the past 5 years and I have always loved john Wayne. It's convenient and easy to access. Lines are never long and the agents for the most part are friendly and don't mind carrying a conversation. This has always been my airport of choice and the fact that it's only 15 min from my house is a BONUS!
Great location easy to get to from any city near the 5, 405, 55, freeways.
Easy to get into to drop off passengers, pick up passengers. Easy to check bags, and to board your plane. Only thing that could use some updating, is the number of seats for people waiting for their flight. There are not enough of them.

Very nice experience at John Wayne Airport. Flew in and out on Delta. Easy exit experience with a nice curbside area for our Uber pick-up. We flew out at around 10am, minimal lines for security, and enough variety in the airport for food and beverage. Just what you want on your family vacation.
