This is the only commercial airport in Orange County, situated 35 miles to the south of Los Angeles. It has two runways and parking space for over 7,500 vehicles. Over nine million passengers avail of its services each year, and over 20,000 tons of air cargo is handled here. Three commuter, 11 commercial and two all-cargo airlines operate from the airport too.

This has got to be the best airport ever! Whether flying in or out, it's fast, convenient, little to no congestion and the food options are fantastic. By far my favorite �
I love John Wayne. Always fly into John Wayne. It is a much easier airport to get around in and close to my friends and relatives. Also for an airport, I find prices very reasonable. The only problem is claiming the baggage. Such a long walk for an older person, when you get off the plane and you are exhausted from the flight. Everyone is so friendly and customer service oriented. I flew into LA X one time, never again.

No traffic at all, it's not like LAX. Great way to get away for local flights.
