It's a very nice looking airport. The security lines are decent, but the terminal design is awful. When the gate live start lining up, 2 boarding zones before they should, they totally block the walkways. The airport should really have been about 10-15ft wider!
Best airport in SoCal! Highly recommended if going in and out of Southern California!
Arrived with plenty of time to not feel hurried through security. I felt TSA personnel were friendly and patient as we made our way through. Enjoyed a great low carb cheeseburger at Ruby's Diner. My friend had a thick strawberry shake with enough to share. Made it to our flight on time and headed home to GA!
I think john Wayne Airport was great except charging $33.00 for 3 beers sitting at the airport 2 hours before the flight. However I think the crew on Southwest Airlines was rude & nasty.
I came off of an international flight and was treated poorly by TSA agent. Hope I Can avoid this airport in the future. You only have one time to make a first impression- you failed -TSA.
