Service is wonderful, cost of energy is horrible. Once JEA will go to private sector we will see a great progress, until it happens we continue to suffer with sky high energy cost.
I am new to Jacksonville, i have been here for 7 days and I have never dealt with such poor service. I purchased a home that was bank owned,it had no meter, i decided to try to get permit myself, they said I had to hire a licensed electrician so i did. I installed all new gfci's the electrician came said everything looked good that i should have power soon, I had to go purchase a generator and I still don't think I will have power for at least another week since the building inspector has to come and then finally jea, so far... read more

A true monopoly that doesn't have to care about the customer one bit! They can provide the most terrible customer service on the planet and it wouldn't matter. If you ever have issues, make sure you RECORD all dates, times, and confirmation numbers. I'm paying for months of utilities after moving half way across the country. And good luck when you try to call to speak with them. Hopefully you have over an hour of your time to waste. I've hung up multiple times after waiting for over an hour! It's simply ridiculous. JEA sucks they don't give a crap about anything or anyone. They take advantage of the fact they are the only electric company in Jacksonville. They love that they have people bent over. Your rates and high prices are out of control. I wouldn't support ur page if u paid me. U suckkkkk!!!! U turned my electric off for ur mess up and for 10 bucks. Them had balls to charge a reconnection fee. I hate JEA u are the worst. .. U really truly suck ur costumer service people are horrible.
