Disappointed. Active Pest Control failed to send a bill but sent a notification of overdue payment . I had a check mailed that day and customer service was aware. They sent me to collections the next day even though they agreed they had not sent the bill and were aware they were receiving payment via mail. I then called and paid via phone. I closed the account and they stated I would not get the money from the check that I sent returned. I don’t know how this is legal.
Besides the multiple collections threats that have been sent out over the last few months, even though all accounts are on account linked autopay, today was the last straw. A few months ago, a quarterly pest control was a no show, followed by a bill with an image of another house. I let that go. Everyone is entitled to one stupid mistake. Today, they did the same thing. I have had a pest control service plan with Ehrlich for years and other than some issues with poor communication between customer and office, I had no problems. I don't know what's going on with their scheduling and billing system but they need to address it. I moved in March 2021, notified Ehrlich and from then until January 2022 I was billed every month at the new address, the techs came, everything was fine. I contacted this company about starting service in ************, **. (which isn't listed in the locations.) When I learned it was a year-long contract, I told the agent that I wasn't looking for that type of commitment and ended the call. I'm a female. Met with salesman twice went over in extreme detail what we wanted & ask several times if there was anything we needed to do in advance & was told no everything we were asking for would be taken care of, yard would be cleared & leveled out, old sod removed, new fresh cut St. Augustine sod laid, I signed agreement & waited. The yard was cleaned up but not leveled out, lots of dips & holes, the old sod wasn't cut down deep enough leaving a mat of old roots that they laid the new sod over the top of. Since Active was bought out by Rentokil my service has sunk to below horrible. I paid my bill in June, 2022 and at the same time cancelled service. I got another bill. I called again in August 15 cancelled again. Got another bill 8/31/22. I have had it with this company. You won't be coming on my property again. I am getting harassed by this company. Used Active for almost 1 yr with no issues. The company was merged or bought and the service tanked. 2 months of no show and no call. Company would call and say i had not paid a past invoice even though they had my card on file. I had called multiple times to set up another time and date since they would never call me.
