The only reasons I didn't give this a one star was because of the kid pool and beach access. You can hardly turn around the bathroom, the shower leaked HORRIBLY, I'm only 5'7 and the shower head only came up to my neck. There was sand in the sheets and all over the floor. It took at least 30 minutes to check in and out. 4 out of 5 lights in our room didn't work. Borderline dirty enough to rethink checking out at 10pm and not staying there. The staff is great, amenities are fabulous, clean, very family friendly. Parking is horrible and very crowded. Pool water is far to warm and was very disappointed in the Jamaican me Crazy band. Came to hear reggae but heard everything except reggae. Food at Mambo's is a hit and miss. First nights dinner seemed old and dry. Next day's lunch was amazing.
I visited International Palms Resort..Checked in on Fri 6/30 to attend a wedding being held there on the beach at 6pm...I stayed in an Oceanview Room ...Room 601...The room wasn't what I expected..1st and foremost I had no view from my room of the ocean there was only a tree in my view unless I went outside my room and walk down a few rooms where I could partially see the ocean...The A.C. in my room didn't work..it was on 74 degrees and auto when I arrived I tried to adjust it by turning to High and lowering the temp that di... read more
My stay at the International Palms resort was terrible. Not only did my room door not close fully (unless I slammed it hard) but my air conditioning didn't work, the paint was chipping off of the bathtub, the bathtub was leaking all over the bathroom floor and I almost slipped and hurt myself. I told the front desk about my experience several times and all they can tell me was that management could help me in the morning, all they did was give me a $10 discount off of my room. We looking for a place close to the beach with pools and nice area to had quality time with my friends and family members, I have to tell you that place is okay so just they need to upgrade the rooms they look olds, the crew members are so friendly and hard workers, the beach is okay and the pools and the recreation areas is alright, we found everything we need here, if I have to take it again i take it.
The door to our room sticks so we have to kick it in. Satellite TV comes and goes, even without bad weather. No safe in the rooms. Something smells dead outside our room. I don't think it's worth the price.
Because I work in hotel renovation, it would not be fair for me to comment completely, the price was too high for the rooms , the bed was hard as a rock , so was the couch , it appears they had recently completed a renovation but there was a lot of work I would find unacceptable. The good was a private balcony in the so called suite over looking the big pool , beach access and the ocean bar/restaurant, I would only give 1 star but the front desk staff deserves a star of their own
The online reservations were easy and people friendly. However. Room was dirty on check in, paint smeared in the bathroom like a quick cover job. The housekeepers do quick jobs and arent detailed. Bathroom water barely runs. Just a poor experience in room detail and service. We did love the resort's extra curricular activities though
The pool area was covered in Mold and Algae and this was the children's area. THIS PLACE SHOULD BE TORN DOWN. Don't bother going here.
