Inova owes me $402. I was charged for my baby’s birth at Inova which I paid. Then I contacted my insurance and they paid the bill month later because I wasn’t supposed to pay. I’ve kept calling them for my money back because it came out of my FSA and They sent my $36 to collections because I didn’t make payment since they did not refund my money. Looking at the reviews I can see that they are still making the Financial Counselor's pre collect deductibles and co insurance amounts prior to providing procedures even though that is against the contract for participating providers of any insurance company. Forget about JACO what would happen if the insurance commotion came in and did an investigation?
It's been a horrible experience just trying to book an appointment. The scheduling coordinators never answer the phone and do not get back to you on emails. Currently waiting about 10days to hear back from my scheduler who said they would talk to the nurse practioner and get back to me. Thanks so much

If I could give zero stars, I 100% would. I need a physical for school and was denied one by your Mt. Vernon office. They claimed since I “had one in June” I didn’t need to come back. It was not a physical; it was a consultation for medication. I have NEVER heard of a physicians office DENYING a patient the right to make an appointment.
I don't like Inova's billing policy of sending your account to collection if you can't pay in full after 4 months- or put you on a credit account that charges interest. I have Stage IV kidney cancer and my account is already over $4,000 this year - I want to pay ny bill, but not be punished for not being able to pay it at once. I am going back to Washington Medstar.
Mad props to Dr. Joseph Chu at Inova Fair Oaks Hospital. He is an amazing Doctor who went the extra mile to make sure Griffin got the BEST care. I went from freaked out helicopter mom to chill in the space of an hour. He gave Griffin the best care, was patient and understanding. But more importantly, he went out of his way to listen and address every fear Griff had. Seriously amazing! Thank you!
