The billing department fails to properly apply monies and deductions per the EOB’s. Every single year I receive at least one bill where they add back in the discount and or amount paid via my insurance. On several occasions the amount they indicate I owe is more than the original bill. It takes months to resolve. In the past I have paid the invoice to avoid collections (only to receive a full refund months later) but I will no longer be held hostage by their ineptitude. Inova has given me another patients blood tests, complete with all the PII information. More recently, they have tried to convince me they can only do a simple bone marrow test if I am willing to expose myself to unnecessary radiation. Of course, the bill will be much higher if instead of just get a bone marrow aspirate, you get a CT guided bone marrow aspirate. I mean the patient is exposed to more radiation and sedation, but what the heck, more money for Inova :( Patients first!
The system has yet again discriminated against visibly Muslim patients and their family members, this time the family of a woman who had recently given birth. NBC4 is properly calling attention to this, but it is not the first offense. Health care includes cultural diversity and awareness. If you are lax in one, you are highly suspect in your ability to provide appropriate physical and pharmaceutical care as well, as all of these things are a part of the education and training GOOD hcw receive.
My oncologist is departing INOVA Medical Group without notifying me nor transferring my care to another physician. I found out when I called to change an appointment that was less than 3 weeks away. Is this common practice at INOVA? I’ve lost confidence in INOVA’s ability to manage my care. I was in the process of transferring my Primary Care to INOVA but now, i think I’ll pass.
I've had a bill since July that they sent to the wrong g insurance company. I went to the doctors office twice to clear it up and called billing directly and just got a letter saying they are putting me in collections. your lack of adequate billers is not my problem, bill the correct insurance company and you'll get your money.
If this is the future of health,everybody is in trouble .
Dr Singh just turning over patients without telling them why and Dr, Liam just telling you what It is without really acknowledging what is really going on except saying you don't have it and moving on out the door how RUDE! He was also about 45 minutes late and that's ok however when we are late due to traffic around here being terrible we penalized for it by making us canceling makes me want to get the heck out of here and move to another state.
