On a trip to Florence, Italy in 1983, Il Giardino founder Tony Gargiulo saw a wood burning oven and knew it would be the centerpiece for the soon-to-open restaurant. The first in Virginia, our oven serves up fresh focaccia bread and pizza to order. All of our delicious menu items are prepared with the freshest and highest quality ingredients we can find. Not cheap but very good food quality
We stopped in for dinner late tonight. I am a Tri-State Italian and wasn’t expecting anything great from an Italian restaurant in Virginia Beach. We had an exceptionally delicious dinner. Service was outstanding. If I am ever in the area again I will be back. In the meantime I will be recommending this place to anyone I know that will be in the area. Super impressed.

Great food and atmosphere. Our server, Dwayne, was awsomes. Very knowledgeable on the menu and made a great wine recommendation. Live entertainment was a plus. The musician played Happy BIrthday on a violin to the table next to us.
