On a trip to Florence, Italy in 1983, Il Giardino founder Tony Gargiulo saw a wood burning oven and knew it would be the centerpiece for the soon-to-open restaurant. The first in Virginia, our oven serves up fresh focaccia bread and pizza to order. All of our delicious menu items are prepared with the freshest and highest quality ingredients we can find. My family loves coming here and we do quite often but last night was even more special because our server (Vivian) made it that way! Vivian offered new suggestions for meals I haven't tried before and the flounder she recommended was excellent!
