On a trip to Florence, Italy in 1983, Il Giardino founder Tony Gargiulo saw a wood burning oven and knew it would be the centerpiece for the soon-to-open restaurant. The first in Virginia, our oven serves up fresh focaccia bread and pizza to order. All of our delicious menu items are prepared with the freshest and highest quality ingredients we can find. Recommend by someone local and it was definitely not a disappointment. Great atmosphere & friendly service! The food was awesome! I got the chicken Alfredo and it was some of the best I ever got in a restaurant. My wife got the tortellini; her’s was equally delicious. 5 stars from us!

Great place for a birthday celebration. I recommend the blood orange martini! Food and staff were outstanding. And the violin Happy birthday brought the experience over the top!
