On a trip to Florence, Italy in 1983, Il Giardino founder Tony Gargiulo saw a wood burning oven and knew it would be the centerpiece for the soon-to-open restaurant. The first in Virginia, our oven serves up fresh focaccia bread and pizza to order. All of our delicious menu items are prepared with the freshest and highest quality ingredients we can find. Upon arrival the hostess was very friendly. Our waiter was very efficient, he checked on us throughout our entire meal. It was our first time there, we will definitely return. The food was delicious.
